Guide - Turn Your Raspberry Pi 5 into an NDI Audio Source using NDI Free Audio

$0+

NDI Free Audio allows you to turn any sound card input, USB microphone, or USB audio input into an NDI source. It’s available for Windows and Linux. The Linux version includes a build for Raspberry Pi. This can be a great, low-cost method of adding audio sources to your NDI network.

You can find out more about NDI Free Audio by going to https://ndi.video/tools/free-audio/. The tool is also available for Windows.

This guide will walk you through how to get NDI Free Audio installed onto a Raspberry Pi 4 or Raspberry Pi 5 as a service. These instructions should also work with other 64-bit ARM-based PCs, and has been tested on the Raspberry Pi 5, Orange Pi Zero 3 and the Orange Pi 5 Plus.

At the end, you will have your very own Raspberry Pi that will automatically start the Free Audio Service and appear as another NDI source on your network. Great for quickly getting a microphone or external audio onto your network!
